Pink on Peach

For this look, I used Revlon's Provoke as the base colour and topped it off with Avon's Mosaic Effect in Fiery Fuchsia. It's a nice bright colour combination.

I thought these would be fun to do right in the middle of winter! I just used toothpicks to create the icicles. I liked the idea of using the matte suede polish and then accent one with glitter polish. I think they look nice and cold.
The polishes I used for this were Avon's Blue Royale Suede, Sparkling Sky Glitter and French White Tip. I did not put on a top coat.

Midnight Splatter

I love how easy it is to create this fun look! I just had to make more designs this way. I decided to use a dark base colour and shimmery, metallic, light colours on top. I used Avon's Midnight Blue for all the nails. I dabbed Avon's Starry Sky, then Chilling Teal and lastly Rave onto the nails using scrunched up plastic wrap. The Chilling Teal, which is a green colour turned out a light blue on the darker Midnight Blue, but I think it looks good.

Winter Branches

For this idea, I used a splattering technique with plastic wrap for the background sky behind the branches.
I started off with a couple of coats of Urban Grey by Avon for all the nails. I then splattered on Pale Gold, followed by Rose Amour both by Avon. I then added a little splatter of Barelement's Grey. I used Avon's Licorice to make the tree branches.

Rose Gold French Tip with Dots

This is another simple, yet pretty design. Easy to make using toothpicks for the dots.
I used Avon's Rose Gold for all the nails, then used Avon's Golden Vision for the French Tips and dots.

Metallic Waves

This was a simple idea to create. Avon's Pale Gold was used for the main colour. I then made a wave of Lucky Penny followed by a wave of Golden Vision and a third of Noir Emerald all by Avon. The Pale Gold is really very pale and it took about three coats to cover the nail so that it looked like there was polish on it.
I just used the brush in the polish bottles to create the waves of colour as carefully as I could.

Gold Hearts

A look that's good for Valentine's Day. This is very simple to do.
I painted all the nails with Cherry Jubilee by Avon and made the outlined and intertwined hearts with Avon's Golden Vision.

Terrific Toesday!

This week I chose Avon's Rose Amour from their Speed Dry collection to sample. I think it's a great colour for Valentine's Day coming up.

Many Hearts

For Valentine's Day I made this cute set of nails full of hearts.
For this look I used Avon's Pastel Pink for the main colour and did the hearts using Avon's Berry Smooth and Barelements Grey.

Grey Dream

This was the first design I dreamed up, but it took me a while to find the correct shade of grey to do them.
Again, just a simple idea, but I am really pleased with the results. I think the colours go well together. I am amazed at what my brain can come up with sometimes. The base polish is Barelements Grey. The flowers are done in French White Tip and Real Red, both by Avon.

Terrific Toesday!

This Toesday I wanted to sample the new Orange You Quick by Avon from their Speed Dry collection. I noticed immediately upon opening the box that it was the same colour as Avon's Coral Beat. I compared the two and yes they looked exactly the same in the bottles, so I decided to try them on my toes to see if there is any difference. The Coral Beat is on my big toe and Orange You Quick on all the other toes. I don't see a difference do you?

My computer has died. I am typing this from my wii, which isn't easy. haha It will be April at the earliest that I will be able to afford to get it fixed. I will try to make some posts if I can, as I have some posts in draft to work on. Sorry for the interruption to my blog.

Teal with Silver Design

Another fairly simple design to do. I used Sally Hansen's The Real Teal on all the nails and I tried to create a somewhat symmetrical pattern using Avon's Starry Sky.
